Shenyun is front for Falun Dafa commercials

Good evening. I just got back from a production of Shenyun. And unfortunately, we wound up walking out about three quarters of the way through, because unbe noticed us what was been promoted as a Chinese acrobatic dance troupe and production. What we found out to our dismay was it was basically a front for Falun Dafa. Ok, as the production itself got to be quite boring, after you’ve seen the third dance, you have seen the whole production. People within the production, they were quite good, quite limber. They did great jumps, like I said they are very limber. So that wasn’t the problem. The costuming was quite fine. The songs were very cheesy. The choreography left a lot to be desired, but the absolute worst thing was basically tantamount to been stocked in a commercial propaganda for Falun Dafa for a number of hours at a high cost. The tickets were not cheap, the tickets were up to 90 or 80 dollars a piece.And when we got to the second dance, that was where Falun Dafa were holdin

In return to Shea's, Shen Yun stays true to propagandist roots

Shen Yun, one of the most brazen pieces of religious propaganda currently touring North America, is back in town and stranger than ever. After yet another blitzkrieg marketing campaign complete with misleading commercials, posters in countless shop windows, print ads, billboards and door-hangers, the religious infomercial for the Chinese sect known as Falun Gong is running for two performances in Shea's Performing Arts Center. It's difficult to describe the technicolor oddities of the Shen Yun experience to someone who's never set eyes on it. Think of it as a combination of a QVC show, the Mormon pageant at Hill Cumorah, an episode of "The 700 Club," a tripped-out game of "Mario Kart" and a Scientologist reunion. Does this make any sense? Not really. Though it bills itself as a display of 5,000 years of "classical Chinese dance," the production is an awkward attempt to proselytize to unsuspecting ticket-buyers about a rogue spiritual

中央610职责划归中央政法委公安部 将加强和改进新时代反邪教工作        3月19日，中共中央印发了《深化党和国家机构改革方案》，将中央防范和处理邪教问题领导小组及其办公室职责划归中央政法委员会、公安部。       从公布的方案看，中共中央加强了防范和处理邪教工作，将建立常态化的反邪教工作机制。        中共中央认为，反邪教工作事关执政安全和社会稳定，需要更好统筹协调，需要建立健全防范治理邪教工作机制，需要提高反邪教工作组织、协调、执行能力，形成工作合力和常态化工作机制。        调整后，中央政法委在反邪教工作方面的主要职责有三项：协调指导、分析研判提出政策建议、协调处置重大突发性事件。公安部主要职责有两项：收集情况分析研判、依法打击邪教。        中央政法委是中共中央的直属机构，是领导和管理全国政法机关工作的职能部门，而中央防范和处理邪教问题领导小组是中共中央的议事协调机构，职责划归政法委显然是加强了反邪教工作。        方案中，多个单位“不再设立”，如中央社会治安综合治理委员会及其办公室、中央维护稳定工作领导小组及其办公室， “不再保留”国务院侨务办公室，而 中央防范和处理邪教问题领导小组及其办公室仅仅是“职责划归”，绝不是个别媒体炒作的所谓“裁撤”。        以下为方案原文：        将中央防范和处理邪教问题领导小组及其办公室职责划归中央政法委员会、公安部。为更好统筹协调执政安全和社会稳定工作，建立健全党委和政府领导、部门分工负责、社会协同参与的防范治理邪教工作机制，发挥政法部门职能作用，提高组织、协调、执行能力，形成工作合力和常态化工作机制，将防范和处理邪教工作职责交由中央政法委员会、公安部承担。         调整后，中央政法委员会在防范和处理邪教工作方面的主要职责是，协调指导各相关部门做好反邪教工作，分析研判有关情况信息并向党中央提出政策建议，协调处置重大突发性事件等。公安部在防范和处理邪教工作方面的主要职责是，收集邪教组织影响社会稳定、危害社会治安的情况并进行分析研判，依法打击邪教组织的违法犯罪活动等。

The Story Behind Lavish Chinese Dance Shen Yun

Have you heard that Shen Yun, the internationally acclaimed Chinese dance extravaganza, will perform two shows this weekend at Burlington's Flynn Center for the Performing Arts? If not, you must be living way off the grid. In recent weeks, the New York-based company behind the show has inundated the Green Mountain State with a full-blown marketing blitz: repeated commercials on local radio and television, glossy color inserts and newspaper ads (including eight weeks of the latter in Seven Days), web infomercials, Facebook ads, six-page direct mailers distributed throughout Chittenden County, pamphlets handed out on Church Street, even a banner spanning Shelburne Road in the city's South End. Propaganda in the Form of Entertainment: A Bizarre Evening at ‘Shen Yun’

Adjust font size:         Close Matilda Boseley 2017-09-11  In Australia, propaganda is seen as a relic from yesteryear and something we rarely see, apart from the occasional overly dramatic Defence Force ad.   Perhaps this is why it is so jarring when  Shen Yun  – a performance of traditional Chinese dance currently touring Australia – transforms into an overt thesis on the Communist persecution of the Falun Gong religious group.   As advertised on its  website ,  Shen Yun  is as a way to “discover the divine beauty of 5000 years of classical Chinese culture”.   The  Shen Yun  Chinese ballet, run by the Falun Gong religion, draws attention to the persecution the group faces in China, with a few backflips and fan dances thrown in.   The show is a compilation of traditional ethnic dances, ballet renditions of Chinese folk lore, and operatic and instrumental acts
